Camping le Pré du Roy

100 pitches in three hectares of land - electricity

Renovated wash block - dogs welcome
Direct river access - family atmosphere
Open from end May to beginning September

Possibility of renting a caravan on site (2 adults, 1 child). Weekly rental

A lush, green, shady setting - a paradise for families, hikers or anglers (white fish, small fish and predators etc.)

It provides the perfect starting point for many excursions or hikes, either on foot or cycling: walks along the Yonne or the Nivernais Canal, exploring local towns and villages with their Medieval atmosphere (Auxerre, Clamecy, Avallon, Noyers sur Serein etc.); major excursions to Vézelay and its basilica or even to Arcy-sur-Cure and its prehistoric caves. Explore the vineyards of Chablis, Saint-Bris, Irancy or Coulange and Accolay etc.

Finally, you should visit both parts of Mailly-le-Château village: the lower part of the village; the steep path leads to the top part of the village with its famous terrace overlooking the valley; from there you can see the oldest bridge in the Yonne and catch a glimpse of the Morvan in the distance. Explore the Bois du Parc, a natural, geological reserve, tucked away in a river bend. It's a great place for climbing with a coral reef that reveals its prehistoric past.

The village boasts a 13th century church and its château dominates the valley.
A variety of shopkeepers and craftsmen are on hand to serve you: bakery, mini-market, bar-tobacconist-newspaper, takeaway restaurants, garage etc.
Summer events are organized locally and also by the Entre Cure et Yonne Tourist Office (markets, various competitions, fairs, hikes etc.)
